Michael Matthews – Director

Already an award-winning and acclaimed director, Mike is working his way to becoming one of South Africa’s top young guns. His resume includes commercials, short films and music videos for top South African artists. His uncompromising attention to detail has seen him develop into an formidably talented visual storyteller. He loves taking a concept and pushing it further. He’s trying to live in the real world.
Sean Drummond – Screenwriter/Producer

It was in a dark room, at a young age that Seans’ natural storyteller instinct took hold and his experience in media and marketing set him on the path towards feature film producing. With a keen eye and a background in stage and performance, his visual sensitivity to pace, tone and character have seen him develop into a complex writer and a closet basket-case, as well as a feature-length documentary director and producer. He serves as a strong creative and conceptual force, and is pushing development on Be Phat’s slate of feature films. He rolls like Lee van Cleef.
Daniel Mitchell – Editor

Mitch spends most of his time in a dark room, cutting together pieces of greatness. When he’s not tied up in the high-end commercial post-production game at Deepend Post, he’s cutting the Be Phat goods. Dan loves the world and everyone in it. He is happiest when he’s sitting in front of beautiful footage.
Shaun Lee – Cinematographer

Shaun is a wizard on set, which is lucky because he’s no good in a room. During his time at Be Phat he’s honed his killer DOP eye on commercials, shorts, music videos and television shows. Don’t be fooled by his emotionless façade. Inside the man, the mystery, lurks a militant perfectionist. He’ll go to any length to get the shot. Don’t get in his way.
